Top 5 Places to Travel in the US; It’s so rewarding to travel on a tight budget and not necessary to spend a lot on luxury hotels and fine dining. My favorite vacation spots are those that are close to home and right here in America. Because I had so many positive experiences, I wanted to share some of my top spots with you. These “on a tight budget” unique destinations were worth every penny that I spent, even though I didn’t have to blow my savings or go bankrupt. These are five of my favorite places to travel, regardless of your budget.

This American hot spot makes a great place to visit whenever you have the opportunity. The Grand Canyon is a must-see. But there’s more to Arizona than that. We all know how powerful it is, from the fantastic climate to the wide range of activities and attractions. You should bring some comfortable clothes, as it can get very hot. If you are anything like me, outside is the best place. It has done a great job creating hiking trails, botanical gardens, campsites, outdoor tours, and other nature-loving excursions. There are many small towns and big cities in the state, each with its own culture and history as well as delicious food. Tucson, Arizona, for example, is rich in Mexican and Southwest heritage. You don’t need to pay admission to visit places like Sabino Canyon or Saguaro National Park. Then, head to Sedona to view the 100+ art galleries and events that take place every day. These are stunning sites that you should see, regardless of whether or not you are an avid art lover.

Baltimore is a place I have visited many times. It is one of my favorite places to visit. As the seafood is fresh and delicious, so is the rest of the food. And for those on a tight budget, a dollar can go a long way. Steamed crabs are unlike anything else in the world. It is located on Baltimore Harbor, and it is well worth a visit. One-of-a-kind sights, sounds, and smells are family-friendly. Nearby the Harbor is the Harborplace and Gallery, which offer fantastic shopping and dining options. There is free entertainment depending on the season (remember that Baltimore is cold in winter). It is worth the short drive from the Harbor to visit the American Visionary Art Museum. Although they charge a fee for entry, the property and building are filled with sculptures and art that can be viewed free of charge. There are many museums you can visit in this family-friendly area.

The view from these iconic buildings is worth the trip just for the stunning views. After you’ve had enough country music, take a stroll around the Belmont Mansion or Vanderbilt University’s beautiful campuses. You can also visit the Adventure Science Center and Belmont Mansion to learn something new. These campuses are rich in history and tradition and offer a great place to get out and enjoy the outdoors. We haven’t even touched on Nashville’s delicious food. Nashville is known for its diverse cuisine. There is a wide variety of cuisine to please every taste. Food trucks were my favorite because they offered delicious, quick, and affordable meals that you can grab on the move. The peach and pecan are great options if you don’t have enough room for pie.

It’s not expensive to visit a city known for its prominent attractions. We were a little adventurous, so we booked a city pass that provided discounted rates to some of the city’s most popular attractions. Although we couldn’t visit them all, we did see the George W. Bush Library and Museum and Perot Museum of Nature and Science. It’s a great way to add culture to your vacation. We went to Dallas Zoo with our traveling companions. We met two gorgeous African Elephants and fed a Giraffe. You might need to stay longer than one day because there are so many family-oriented presentations and events at the zoo. Dallas Farmers Market is a must-see market. It is unlike any other market I have ever been to. The food, vendors, and unforgettable experience are unmatched. Grab a street taco from La Ventana, or a pork filled tamale from El Mero Mero. For all outdoor enthusiasts and hikers, I must mention the Trinity River Audubon Center. This urban hardwood forest offers a way to escape the city and into the unique Texas terrain.

Hershey, Pennsylvania, is a well-known tourist destination. There are so many things you can do for free or very little money. The amusement park is world-class, and the famous day spa is also available. However, there are many affordable options. Hershey Chocolate World is a free ride on Hershey Park’s grounds, an educational and enjoyable historical ride. Children traveling with their parents will receive a free sample of candy at the end of each ride. You are then dropped off in the gift shop. The Hershey trolley will take you around the city with its kiss-shaped lights and has a kiss-shaped light lining the streets. Milton Hershey started it while planning the town. It continues to be used today. If you have the time, I recommend it. You can visit ZooAmerica, Milton Hershey School, Milton Hershey Gardens, and other museums in Hershey, PA.
